Facilities Management Director

The Facilities Management Director is a part-time, remote role responsible for overseeing the overall maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency of the company’s physical and virtual work environments.

This includes coordinating facility-related services, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring that office spaces and any associated infrastructure are well-maintained and compliant with relevant standards.

The role involves developing and implementing facility policies, monitoring budgets for maintenance and services, and establishing processes for incident reporting and resolution.

The Facilities Management Director will collaborate with leadership and team members to anticipate facility needs, support workplace health and safety initiatives, and drive continuous improvements in space utilization and remote-work support.

• Demonstrated experience in facilities management, property management, or workplace operations, preferably in a corporate or service-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in coordinating vendors and service providers, including negotiating contracts and monitoring performance.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to office and facility operations.
• Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a part-time, remote setting.
• Comfort with using digital tools and collaboration platforms to oversee facilities, track issues, and communicate with team members.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and provide clear updates to leadership.
• Ability to analyze facility-related data, budgets, and metrics to support decision-making and cost-efficient operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience is also considered.
• Prior experience working with geographically distributed or remote teams is an advantage.
