- Transport and store metal materials and fabricated components
- Clean and prepare metal surfaces for fabrication
- Assist in setting up and operating fabrication equipment
- Operate fabricating machines such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, and drill presses
- Bend and straighten metal by hammering, chipping, and grinding
- Use hand torch or furnace to pre heat workpieces
- Fit and weld metal parts together
- Check if workpiece meets specifications using square, ruler, and measuring tape
- Fabricate and assemble sheet metal products
Requirements
- Experience in metal fabrication or related field
- Ability to operate fabricating machines such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, and drill presses
- Ability to use hand torch or furnace to pre heat workpieces
- Ability to fit and weld metal parts together
- Ability to use square, ruler, and measuring tape to check specifications
