Job Description
The F&B Associate supports food and beverage preparation, service, guest interaction, outlet operations, and event service.
The role may serve in restaurants, conference rooms, parties, receptions, and other food and beverage outlets as required.
Service Preparation and Guest Orders
- Prepare tables and polish cutlery before and during service.
- Maintain knowledge of menus and other food and beverage outlets.
- Take orders, explain menu items, advise guests, and communicate special requests clearly to the kitchen.
- Prepare drinks, snacks, and breads when necessary.
Guest Service and Outlet Support
- Upsell food and beverages and inform guests about promotions and item availability.
- Serve guests attentively and efficiently during their stay.
- Serve parties and receptions when required.
- Take reservations with supervisors and hosts or hostesses when special requests require coordination.
- Process payments and complete closing paperwork when required.
Stock and Quality
- Monitor stock and supplies and report possible shortages of linen, glassware, and other items.
- Complete cleaning tasks during and after service and keep guest areas immaculate.
- Collect guest feedback, notify management, and share ideas for improvement.
- Ensure guests receive what they ordered and that guest satisfaction remains a priority.
Desired Skill and Expertise
- At least 2 years of experience is essential.
- Experience in high-volume food and beverage operations is preferred.
- Strong customer service, planning, organization, interpersonal, and communication skills are required.
- Quantified experience in food safety and hygiene is required.
