- Plan and execute audit engagements, including risk assessment, testing of controls, and substantive procedures in line with applicable auditing standards
- Review financial statements, verify supporting documentation, assess internal controls, and identify areas of non compliance or potential improvement
- Prepare clear, well structured audit working papers and reports, communicating findings and recommendations to clients and senior team members
- Assist in the preparation of management letters
- Collaborate with tax and advisory teams when needed
- Stay current with relevant accounting and auditing standards
- Support the development of junior team members
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles (e.g., IFRS), and financial reporting
- Experience in planning and performing external audits, including risk assessment, testing, and documentation
- Ability to analyze financial data, evaluate internal controls, and identify control weaknesses and process gaps
- Proficiency with audit and accounting software, spreadsheets, and other productivity tools
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of clear audit reports and client correspondence
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines
- High level of integrity, professional skepticism, and attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA) or progress toward one is preferred
- Prior experience in an external audit role within a public accounting or audit firm is an advantage
- Familiarity with tax and business advisory concepts relevant to the Qatar and regional regulatory environment is beneficial

Role Description
- This is a full time, on site External Auditor role based in Doha, Qatar.
- The External Auditor will plan and execute audit engagements, including risk assessment, testing of controls, and substantive procedures in line with applicable auditing standards.
