Purpose
Provide advanced quality engineering expertise for complex technology solutions.
Ensure reliability, performance, security, and functionality through testing strategy, automation, and quality standards.
Quality Engineering Leadership
- Act as senior quality engineering authority across squads and platforms.
- Define test strategies, standards, methodologies, and testing practices.
- Lead quality validation for complex and business-critical releases.
Automation and Testing
- Own automated testing frameworks and reusable solutions across web, mobile, and APIs.
- Define functional, integration, regression, performance, security, and reliability testing approaches.
- Drive automation coverage and continuous testing in CI/CD.
Certification and Compliance
- Drive certification and compliance testing with SAMA, mada, Visa, Mastercard, and other external entities.
- Prepare test evidence, certification artifacts, and audit documentation.
- Manage certification scheduling, defect turnaround, and resubmission.
Quality Improvement
- Review requirements and solution designs to identify quality risks early.
- Analyze quality trends and recurring defects to drive systemic improvements.
- Assess release quality and escalate critical risks before production deployment.
- Mentor quality engineers and raise testing capability across the chapter.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of quality engineering experience, including test strategy and automation framework ownership.
- Experience running external certification with payment schemes or a financial regulator.
- Strong automation background with Selenium, Playwright, Appium, REST Assured, or similar tools, plus performance testing.
- Payments knowledge including ISO 8583/20022, EMV, and settlement or reconciliation flows.
- Professional certificates are listed among the qualifications.
