Purpose
Design and govern complex enterprise integration solutions that provide secure, scalable, reliable, and efficient connectivity between applications, platforms, partners, and external services.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as the senior technical authority for enterprise integration across the technology estate.
- Design integration architectures, APIs, interfaces, messaging solutions, and synchronous, asynchronous, event-driven, and API-based integrations.
- Define integration standards, patterns, protocols, and engineering practices.
- Lead critical integrations with partners, schemes, and internal platforms using IBM ACE, API Connect, MQ, and Kafka.
- Own API lifecycle management, including versioning, gateway policies, and consumer onboarding.
- Apply partner connectivity security controls, including mTLS, certificate management, encryption, and secure key handling.
- Ensure integrations meet security, performance, availability, scalability, regulatory, audit, and change-governance requirements.
- Review designs, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize monitoring, error handling, reconciliation, reliability, and performance.
- Identify integration risks, dependencies, and technical debt, recommend improvements, mentor engineers, and contribute to architecture initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- At least five years of enterprise integration experience, including senior technical ownership.
- Deep expertise in IBM ACE, API Connect, MQ, DataPower, and Kafka.
- Strong understanding of API design, OAuth2, mTLS, and message-level security.
- Payments experience with ISO 8583, ISO 20022, or scheme integrations is good to have.
- Professional certificates are required.
