Purpose
Design and govern complex enterprise integration solutions connecting applications, platforms, partners, and external services.
Ensure integration connectivity is secure, scalable, reliable, and efficient.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as the senior technical authority for enterprise integration across the technology estate.
- Design complex integration architectures, APIs, interfaces, and messaging solutions.
- Define integration standards, patterns, protocols, and engineering practices.
- Lead implementation of critical integrations with partners, schemes, and internal platforms.
- Design synchronous, asynchronous, event-driven, and API-based integration solutions.
- Build and govern integrations on the IBM ACE, API Connect, MQ, and Kafka stack.
- Own API lifecycle management, including versioning, gateway policies, and consumer onboarding.
- Ensure security, performance, availability, and scalability requirements are met.
- Apply mTLS, certificate management, encryption, and secure key handling for partner connectivity.
- Ensure regulatory, audit, and change-governance compliance.
- Review designs and implementations for architectural compliance.
- Troubleshoot issues, optimize performance and reliability, manage technical debt, and mentor engineers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of enterprise integration experience, including senior technical ownership.
- Deep expertise in IBM ACE, API Connect, MQ, DataPower, and Kafka.
- Strong knowledge of API design, OAuth2, mTLS, and message-level security.
- Payments experience with ISO 8583, ISO 20022, or scheme integrations is beneficial.
- Professional certificates are listed among the qualifications.
