Purpose
Serve as a senior technical authority in frontend engineering across complex digital applications.
Drive frontend engineering standards, performance, quality, scalability, and technical excellence across web and mobile platforms.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Act as the senior technical authority for frontend engineering across web and mobile platforms.
- Design scalable frontend architectures using React for web and React Native for mobile.
- Define engineering standards, reusable components, patterns, and shared design systems.
- Own cross-platform code sharing and maximize reuse between web and mobile.
- Lead complex feature implementation and modernization initiatives.
- Own mobile release engineering, native build configuration, and app store processes.
- Review complex code and technical designs for quality and architectural alignment.
- Improve performance, accessibility, security, and maintainability across platforms.
- Apply client-side security requirements for authentication, sessions, and sensitive data.
- Resolve critical and device-specific production issues.
- Integrate frontend applications effectively with APIs and backend services.
- Evaluate technologies, mentor engineers, and contribute to enterprise frontend architecture initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
- Master's degree is preferred.
- 5+ years of frontend engineering experience, including senior or lead technical ownership.
- Deep expertise in React, React Native, JavaScript or TypeScript, and modern state management.
- Production mobile app delivery experience, including Xcode, Android Studio, and app store releases.
- Payments, banking, or regulated financial services experience is required.
- Professional certificates are listed as a qualification.
