The Role
The Events & Operations Manager owns event delivery and operational performance across exhibitions, pop-ups, brand activations and daily coordination.
The role ensures people, products, suppliers and systems are ready, while maintaining service quality, stock accountability and cost control.
This is a hands-on leadership position requiring planning, delegation and visible on-site presence.
Event Planning and Delivery
- Own planning, budgeting, venue coordination, setup, live operations, dismantling and closeout for each event.
- Manage permits, access arrangements, contractor schedules, venue compliance and readiness of customer-facing materials.
- Anticipate operational risks and prepare contingency plans for staffing, deliveries, equipment and stock.
Operational Management
- Coordinate procurement, warehousing, logistics, sales and finance to support timely execution.
- Oversee product readiness, stock allocation, replenishment, transfers, returns and post-event reconciliation.
- Maintain asset and inventory records, establish SOPs, and resolve operational issues with clear escalations.
Team and Customer Experience
- Lead sales staff, brand ambassadors, ushers and operational support teams.
- Set staffing requirements, assign duties, manage rosters and conduct briefings on targets, products and procedures.
- Enforce presentation standards and handle performance gaps and escalated customer concerns professionally.
Commercial and Reporting
- Prepare budgets, track spending, evaluate supplier quotations, negotiate terms and monitor delivery commitments.
- Monitor sales against targets and reconcile sales, payments, supplier charges and operating expenses.
- Report readiness, risks, sales, staffing, stock discrepancies, supplier performance and improvement actions to management.
Required Experience and Skills
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in events, retail operations or brand activations, including 2 years leading teams.
- Demonstrated success delivering exhibitions or commercial events in the UAE.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project management, POS or inventory systems.
- Excellent English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage.
- Availability for on-site UAE work, travel and evening or weekend event schedules.
- Luxury retail, fragrances, beauty, gifting or lifestyle experience is strongly preferred; a UAE driving licence is preferred.
Success Measures
Events are delivered on time and within approved budgets.
Sales, stock accuracy, staffing, service quality, supplier delivery and operational improvements meet agreed objectives.
