Responsibilities
- Drive and manage corporate group sales to meet and exceed targets
- Generate, prepare, and present comprehensive proposals, sales contracts, and coordinate site inspection visits
- Develop strategic action plans to effectively sell corporate event spaces
- Proactively identify and develop new markets and revenue streams
- Serve as primary point of contact for group reservation and event inquiries
- Coordinate, finalize, and communicate event and reservation details to internal departments
- Lead and manage on site operations for large scale events
- Execute daily opening and closing procedures for the market
- Support general management team with tasks for smooth daily operation
- Actively engage with market clients to gather feedback and ensure satisfaction
Requirements
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in a similar sales, events, and/or operations management position
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Solid mathematical skills including budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variance analysis
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and train staff, maintain team cohesion, and lead by example
- Proven ability to remain calm, courteous, and professional under pressure with strong reasoning skills
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong understanding of the restaurant/food service industry and local corporate/events market
- Knowledge of Tripleseat or similar event management software

Role Overview
- The Events & Group Sales Manager will drive and manage corporate group sales and support daily operations and event coordination.
- Reports to Assistant General Manager, Marketing & Events Manager.
Key Objectives Corporate Group Sales
- Achieve and surpass annual sales targets across food, beverage, and room rental fees.
- Generate, prepare, and present comprehensive proposals, sales contracts, and coordinate site inspection visits.
- Develop strategic action plans to effectively sell corporate event spaces.
- Proactively identify and develop new markets and revenue streams.
- Work strategically with diverse business segments including corporate, social, and associative groups.
- Contribute to updating budget forecasting processes and provide requested sales reports and analytics.
Event Coordination
- Serve as primary point of contact for all group reservation and event inquiries.
- Coordinate, finalize, and communicate event and reservation details to internal departments.
- Collaborate with Operations Management team and kitchen concessionaires to guarantee client satisfaction.
- Lead and manage on site operations for large scale events, ensuring adherence to service standards.
Operations Management
- Execute scheduled daily opening and closing procedures for the market.
- Support general management team with tasks for smooth daily operation.
- Actively engage with market clients to gather feedback and ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain focus on quality of daily operations, customer engagement, and staff supervision.
Skills & Attributes
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in sales, events, and/or operations management.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid mathematical skills including budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variance analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and train staff, maintain team cohesion, and lead by example.

Education & Certification
- Food Safety Certification Level 1
- Serving it Right Certification
- Post secondary education in Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field is an asset.
Work Environment
- Role is based on site at Time Out Market Abu Dhabi.
- Fast paced, high energy market setting with food, beverage, and large group events.
- May require standing or walking for extended periods and occasional lifting of event equipment.
