Job Purpose

  • To lead, grow, and deliver a portfolio of events, driving long term growth, commercial performance, and industry impact.
  • Full P&L accountability, including international and local sales delivery.
  • Acts as strategic leader ensuring cross functional alignment and adapting event brands to local market needs.

Event Strategy and Leadership

  • Lead overall event strategy for long term growth, market relevance, and competitive positioning.
  • Develop and maintain a 3 year strategic plan for each event.
  • Use data, market intelligence, and customer feedback to shape event direction.
  • Ensure cross functional alignment across Sales, Marketing, PR, Content, and Operations.

P&L Management

  • Own and manage full event P&L, including revenue delivery, cost control, and profitability.
  • Set, manage, and deliver event budgets and financial targets.
  • Monitor performance against budget and establish monthly forecasting.
  • Provide accurate reporting of KPIs and financial performance.

Commercial Leadership

  • Drive total sales performance across the event portfolio.
  • Execute agreed sales and sponsorship strategies.
  • Participate in meetings and negotiations with key customers and sponsors.
  • Monitor sales performance and ensure accurate reporting through Salesforce.

Stakeholder and Partner Management

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with government bodies, industry associations, and partners.
  • Strengthen event's market position through effective stakeholder engagement.

Brand Management & Market Adaptation

  • Ensure event brands align with portfolio strategy while adapting to local markets.
  • Oversee event positioning, messaging, and market specific branding.
  • Drive exhibitor retention, audience growth, and market leadership.

Marketing

  • Oversee development and execution of event marketing strategy.
  • Work with Senior Marketing Manager to increase visitor attendance and audience quality.
  • Ensure event websites are up to date and aligned with brand standards.
  • Monitor marketing performance against KPIs.

Business Development

  • Identify and develop new event concepts and vertical extensions.
  • Evaluate market opportunities and customer demand.
  • Develop business cases for new initiatives.

Operational Delivery

  • Oversee operational planning and preparations for successful event delivery.
  • Ensure events meet quality, safety, and customer satisfaction standards.
  • Work with Operations teams to achieve timelines and budgets.
  • Implement continuous improvements to enhance customer experience.
