Responsibilities
- Receipt of contract enquiries, reviewing and preparing a plan of action to price enquiries within deadline
- Liaise with line manager and team members to develop overall tender strategy
- Send out enquiries to supply chain to ensure best prices from suitable suppliers
- Analyze supply chain quotes and negotiate best costs with knowledge of raw material costs
- Prepare tender analysis information for internal analysis and client presentation
- Install costs with sufficient detail to enable contract review
- Analyze mark ups for presentation at tender vet meetings
- Monitor tenders/quotations and attend meetings with clients as required
- Review enquiry details to identify opportunities, risks, discrepancies
- Attend hand over meetings between Estimating and Operational/Commercial Teams
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in fit out industry preparing estimates, preferably with Qatar experience
- B.Tech, B.E or Diploma holder
- Knowledge of the full tender process and experience of value engineering
- Experience of analysing trade comparisons
- IT literate – Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, etc
- Ability to communicate effectively in business English both in writing and orally

Role Summary
- The Estimator is in charge of working out job estimates in the most realistic, accurate and competitive way for submission of quotations and tenders.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Receipt of contract enquiries, reviewing and preparing a plan of action to price enquiries within deadline.
- Ability to follow through enquiry from client and clarify scope to achieve quote accuracy.
- Liaise with line manager and other team members to develop overall strategy for tender.
- Send out enquiries to supply chain to ensure best prices.
- Liaise and request support from other individuals to produce programmes and quality submissions.
- Analyze supply chain quotes and negotiate best costs.
- Prepare tender analysis information and present professionally.
- Install costs with sufficient detail to enable contract review.
- Analyze mark ups for presentation at tender vet meetings.
- Ensure tender summary sheet is signed off per procedure.
- Monitor tenders/quotations and attend meetings with clients.
- Review enquiry details to identify opportunities, risks, discrepancies.
Personal Qualities
- 5 years of experience in fit out industry preparing estimates, preferably with Qatar experience.
- B.Tech, B.E or Diploma holder.
- Knowledge of full tender process and experience of value engineering.
- Experience of analysing trade comparisons.
- IT literate – Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage own time to hit deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively in business English both in writing and orally.
