Requirements
- Strong masonry related skills, including Masonry, Brickwork, and Stonework
- Proficiency in quantity take off and cost estimation for gypsum, paint, and masonry
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in estimation and quantity take off for finishing works
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred
- Experience in commercial or interior fit out projects, preferably within the UAE or GCC

Role Description
- The role involves preparing detailed cost estimates for gypsum, paint, and masonry works, including analysing drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Responsibilities include quantifying materials, labour, and equipment needs; requesting and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations; and preparing BOQs, cost breakdowns, and technical submissions.
- The role also requires coordinating with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to clarify scope, support tender submissions, and update estimates based on design changes or site conditions.
- Day to day tasks include maintaining estimation databases, tracking market prices, and contributing to value engineering proposals to ensure competitive and accurate bids.
Qualifications
- Strong masonry related skills, including Masonry, Brickwork, and Stonework, with the ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications for these trades.
- Knowledge of Cement applications and Renovation practices, including material selection, repair methodologies, and cost implications for refurbishment projects.
- Proficiency in quantity take off and cost estimation for gypsum, paint, and masonry, using relevant estimation and CAD software.
- Experience in commercial or interior fit out projects, preferably within the UAE or GCC, with familiarity with local building codes and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and the ability to meet tight tender deadlines.
- Effective communication and coordination skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and external suppliers.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in an estimation role for finishing works (gypsum, paint, masonry) will be an advantage.
- The candidate should have minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in estimation and quantity take off for these works.
