Job Purpose
Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for architectural and finishing works within major infrastructure projects.
Support tendering and pre-construction stages through pricing, analysis, risk identification, and value engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Review tender documents, architectural drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project requirements.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates for architectural and finishing works.
- Develop unit-rate analyses for materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and overheads.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations and maintain updated market prices.
- Identify tender discrepancies, missing information, exclusions, and commercial or technical risks.
- Coordinate with technical, procurement, planning, and commercial teams to ensure accurate pricing.
- Develop value-engineering proposals and cost-effective alternatives.
- Prepare tender cost breakdowns, pricing schedules, clarifications, and supporting documents.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of experience in estimation, tendering, or cost management.
- Direct experience estimating architectural and finishing works for major infrastructure projects.
