Role Overview
Esnad Contracting is seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Engineer for a major infrastructure project.
The role oversees execution of mechanical works related to tanks and piping systems.
Mechanical activities must meet approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and the project schedule.
Site Execution
- Supervise installation of tanks, piping systems, supports, fittings, valves, and related mechanical works.
- Verify piping routes, alignment, levels, slopes, supports, connections, and installation accuracy.
- Coordinate site inspections, pressure testing, flushing, and pre-commissioning activities.
- Monitor subcontractor performance, manpower, materials, and daily progress.
- Identify technical issues and coordinate solutions to avoid project delays.
Technical and Quality Coordination
- Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, technical specifications, method statements, and material submittals before execution.
- Ensure work complies with approved Inspection and Test Plans and project quality requirements.
- Coordinate with Civil, Technical Office, QA/QC, HSE, Procurement, subcontractors, and other site teams.
- Raise and follow up on RFIs, inspection requests, and technical documentation.
- Verify delivered materials against approved submittals and project specifications.
Reporting and Compliance
- Prepare daily progress reports and maintain accurate records of completed mechanical activities.
- Ensure full compliance with project health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least seven years of relevant experience in mechanical construction and site execution.
- Proven experience with tanks, piping systems, and major infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of piping installation, pressure testing, inspection, and commissioning requirements.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, piping layouts, sections, and technical specifications.
- Understanding of quality control procedures and site safety requirements.
- Strong coordination, communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
