Equipment Operator

Knowledge, Skills & Ability Requirements

• (Knowledge – Comprehension of a body of information acquired by experience or study. Skill – a present, observable competence to perform an activity. Ability – a competence to perform an observable behavior.)
• Grapple truck experience preferred
• Experience in working around hazardous equipment
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining tools and equipment
• Enforces on-the-job safety practices
• Ability to guide and lead those on the job
• Possesses the ability to lift move and maneuver up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis and up to 30 pounds on a frequent basis
• Ability to prioritize competing tasks as new situations continue to emerge
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products utilizing the latest operating systems
• Experience with Apple-based products
• Demonstrate excellent customer service focusing on rapport-building, listening, questioning and patience
• Comfortable working in noisy environments with proper PPE
• Willingness to work long hours, overtime, and participate in on-call rotations during emergencies
• Ability to operate and service all required tools and equipment
• Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and vendors

Education, Certification & Experience Requirements

• (The minimum level of education obtained, certifications held, or experience in years acceptable for the role.)
• A High School Diploma or higher
• Valid class 3 driver’s license, with a current Driver’s Abstract, and less than 6 demerits
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as Tandem Axel Grapple Truck and Sennebogen equipment
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test

Other Preferred Requirements

• (driver’s license, CDL, pesticide or herbicide license, CPR or first-aid certified)
• Willingness to obtain
• Valid First-Aid and CPR certificates
