About the Role
- The Manager, Environment Health and Safety is responsible for planning, managing and providing site safety and safety leadership.
- Ensure facility compliance with corporate safety and security standards.
- Ensure workplace risks are properly controlled and impacts on the environment are minimized.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of the Department's strategy and annual business plans.
- Contribute to the development of the Department's policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the development and management of the Department’s budgets.
- Oversee Khalifa University efforts to ensure students, faculty, staff and guests are kept from harm.
- Direct and supervise all departmental activities related to Health & Safety.
- Develop new environmental and occupational safety and health policies and procedures.
- Establish and maintain specifications in accordance with Health & Safety standards.
- Direct auditing of university facilities to ensure programs are implemented.
- Initiate and develop an Institution wide sustainability program.
- Coordinate with security teams to monitor access control.
- Maintain emergency response plans and train staff.
- Develop the EH&S training program and conduct training.
