Role Overview
AECOM is seeking an entry-level structural engineer for its Transportation Department in Arlington or Glen Allen, Virginia.
The role supports multidisciplinary teams developing engineering solutions from initial concepts through detailed design and construction.
Entry-level technical hires may participate in AECOM's Graduate Development Program, which supports technical development and progress toward licensure.
Expected Start
- The role is expected to start in Summer 2027.
- The position may require occasional alternate schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on project needs.
Responsibilities
- Design new bridges and bridge rehabilitation projects.
- Develop bridge maintenance and repair plans and perform bridge load ratings.
- Design transit structures and support bridge and tunnel inspection and evaluation.
- Provide tunnel engineering support services.
- Prepare construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and schedules.
