Role Brief Description

The role defines, governs, and drives target-state architecture for a complex enterprise ecosystem.

The architecture spans Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

The role focuses on secure, scalable, resilient, and cloud-native enterprise architecture.

Architecture Leadership

  • Define and maintain the enterprise target architecture and technology roadmap.
  • Establish architecture principles, standards, and governance processes across the organization.
  • Lead architecture review boards and design authority forums.
  • Align business strategy, digital transformation objectives, and technology investments.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption decisions.

Cloud and Enterprise Design

  • Design and govern enterprise solutions spanning Azure, GCP, and OCI.
  • Define cloud placement strategies using regulatory, data residency, performance, security classification, and cost requirements.
  • Establish cloud interoperability patterns and integration standards across providers.
  • Develop cloud governance frameworks covering security, operations, FinOps, and resilience.

Architecture Patterns

  • Define enterprise patterns for microservices architecture and containerization with Kubernetes or OpenShift.
  • Define enterprise patterns for service mesh, event-driven architectures, and API management.
  • Ensure scalability, observability, resiliency, and operational supportability.
  • Promote DevSecOps and infrastructure-as-code adoption across engineering teams.

Required Experience

  • Have 15 or more years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or cloud architecture.
  • Have proven experience designing large-scale enterprise systems in multi-cloud environments.
  • Demonstrate experience with Azure, GCP, and OCI.
  • Have a strong background in microservices and distributed systems.
  • Have experience leading large transformation and modernization programs.
  • Have experience defining enterprise governance models and architecture operating frameworks.
  • Demonstrate strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
