- Oversee payroll, department labor budget, and hotel capital budget
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, fire, and OSHA audits
- Manage capital construction and major maintenance projects
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
- Supervise maintenance of heaters, pumps, valves, compressors, and electrical systems
- Monitor associate performance and provide training
Requirements
- Experience in engineering operations management
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
- Ability to manage budgets and capital projects

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops an engineering operating strategy aligned with hotel/brand business strategy.
- Responsible for assisting in overall operations of engineering department including payroll, labor budget, and capital budget.
- Co responsible for compliance of internal and external audits related to safety, quality assurance, fire inspections, OSHA, and ADA.
- Responsible for overseeing capital construction and major maintenance projects.
- Responsible for developing preventive maintenance program for equipment and rooms program.
Maintenance and Repair Duties
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.
- Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and repair of heaters, pumps, valves, steam distribution lines.
- Ensure proper operation of refrigerant compressors, condensers, evaporators, and refrigerant lines.
- Ensure proper operation of air compressors, distribution lines, and control devices.
- Ensure proper operation of natural and manufactured gas distribution lines and control devices.
- Ensure proper operation of water filters, softeners, piping, pumps, sinks, and toilets.
- Perform all types of motors or engines used to power pumps, compressors, and fans.
- Perform all types of locks, keys, and locksmith duties.
- Perform all electrical work and repairs.
- Perform all carpentry work and related duties.
Supervision and Training
- Monitor associate performance in all phases of job functions to ensure procedures are carried out to departmental standards.
- Rectify any deficiencies with respective personnel.
- Support hotel philosophy concerning hiring, employee relations, disciplinary action, training, counseling, and evaluating.
