Serving as an Engineering Associate I at LCRA, you will gain hands-on experience by working alongside licensed professional engineers.
This entry-level role is built to provide you with the essential skills and knowledge required for the engineering field.
You will assist in developing and estimating costs, performing basic engineering analyses, and evaluating equipment performance.
Your efforts will be important in moving forward our engineering goals and supporting LCRA’s mission.
The Engineering Associate I will offer technical assistance, assist in carrying out projects consistently, solve engineering problems, and help ensure safe, regulation-compliant, and efficient transmission projects.
- Perform transmission line design calculations and analysis while ensuring compliance with applicable standards and utility requirements.
- Help improve the reliability, safety, and performance of transmission infrastructure by identifying and addressing engineering risks.
- Investigate field issues, design challenges, and equipment problems and develop practical engineering solutions.
- Ensure calculations and completed tasks meet company standards, codes, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Provide engineering input that helps projects stay within budget and schedule.
- Prepare and review drawings, calculations, specifications, reports, and technical documentation.
- Bachelors degree in engineering, engineering technology, engineering physics, biosystems engineering, mathematical science, physical science or related science.
- Driver's license
- Outstanding analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
