General Summary
The role is part of Qualcomm's Engineering Group and Software Engineering organization.
The position develops embedded software for automotive platforms using Linux-based systems.
Core Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for automotive platforms using kernel and user-space Linux components.
- Develop and integrate Linux kernel drivers, including virtualization support such as pKVM.
- Implement error handling with EDAC and support secure device provisioning.
- Contribute to safety-certified software components at ASIL B or higher.
- Support Safe Architecture Extensions and compliance with ISO 26262 standards.
- Conduct threat modeling, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments for embedded Linux systems.
Required Skills and Expertise
- Proficiency in C for embedded systems; C++ is an added advantage.
- Deep understanding of Linux kernel internals, IOMMU, and virtio.
- Experience with secure coding, cryptography, key management, and disk encryption.
- Hands-on experience with GDB, KGDB, JTAG, Lauterbach, or similar debugging tools.
- Exposure to hypervisor and virtualization technologies such as UEFI, ABL, and KVM.
