Role overview
ideaForge is hiring an Engineer I in its R&D Mobility Solutions team for aerostructure design of unmanned aerial systems.
The position is based in Bengaluru and is described as on-site and entry level.
Key responsibilities
- Design aircraft components including wings, fuselage, tail, and landing gear.
- Take new or redesigned products through design, development, testing, certification, and production handover.
- Prepare manufacturing drawings and engineering data.
- Collaborate with aerodynamics, propulsion, avionics, and manufacturing teams.
- Solve design problems while considering cost, quality, manufacturability, and serviceability.
- Ensure compliance with CEMILAC, DGCA, MIL, and other applicable standards.
- Participate in design reviews, technical reporting, configuration management, prototyping, and testing.
- Improve engineering practices and stay current with materials and manufacturing technologies.
Key skills and qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering.
- The role states 2-4 years of experience, while another requirement states 3+ years in a Design Engineer role.
- Strong aerostructure design, materials, and manufacturing process experience.
- Exposure to aerospace, UAS, or UAV systems is preferred.
