Role Overview

  • Employee Relations Officer supports positive workplace relations and ensures compliance with UAE Labor Law.
  • The role oversees visa processing, onboarding and offboarding, and promotion and salary administration in a catering environment.

Employee Relations & Communication

  • Act as the main point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and workplace issues.
  • Foster positive communication between employees, supervisors, and management.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor employee morale and promote engagement initiatives.
  • Facilitate employee feedback sessions and implement improvement measures.

Disciplinary & Grievance Handling

  • Investigate complaints and incidents in accordance with HR policies.
  • Support line managers in applying fair and consistent disciplinary procedures.
  • Maintain documentation of all disciplinary actions and grievance resolutions.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE Labour Law in all disciplinary and corrective processes.

Visa Processing & Government Relations

  • Handle all visa related procedures for renewals, cancellations, and transfers through MOHRE, GDRFA, etc.
  • Coordinate with PRO or government liaison team for timely processing.
  • Maintain up to date employee records including visas, Emirates IDs, medicals, and work permits.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE labour and immigration laws.

Onboarding & Offboarding Administration

  • Coordinate onboarding activities and prepare joining documents.
  • Facilitate employee separations including exit interviews, clearance forms, and final settlements.
  • Ensure company assets and documents are returned.

Promotion & Salary Increment Administration

  • Process approved employee promotions and salary revisions.
  • Update HR systems and employee records.
  • Communicate salary and position updates to employees.

Policy Implementation & Compliance

  • Communicate and enforce HR policies, company code of conduct, and site regulations.
  • Support management in ensuring compliance with internal HR policies and UAE Labour Law.

Employee Engagement & Welfare

  • Organize and support employee welfare initiatives, recognition events, and engagement programs.
  • Address employee welfare concerns related to accommodation, transportation, and site amenities.
  • Administer employee benefits and reward programs.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain comprehensive records of employee relations cases, visa processes, onboarding, and offboarding.
  • Prepare regular reports on HR metrics, visa tracking, disciplinary actions, and engagement trends.
  • Support internal and external audits related to HR compliance.

Qualifications & Certifications & Experience

  • High school or Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of HR experience in employee relations, preferably in catering, hospitality, or large workforce environments.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE Labor Law, visa procedures, and government systems (MOHRE, GDRFA, etc.).
