Role Overview
Rylo develops cameras and software for capturing, editing, and sharing smooth video.
The Embedded Software Engineer will join the core software team responsible for application software on camera platforms.
Camera software combines an RTOS and Linux, and the role works across backend, mobile, and camera systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop application software on camera platforms.
- Work with RTOS and Linux-based camera software.
- Create a seamless experience between backend services, mobile applications, and camera software.
- Report directly to the CEO.
Qualifications
- Excellent C programming ability.
- Expertise in low-level operating-system code, computer initialization, memory management, and concurrency.
- Detailed understanding of system-on-chip architecture.
- Experience and interest in writing code on an embedded platform.
- Some experience with the GNU toolchain, including gcc, gdb, and make.
- Driver experience is an asset.
- A BS, MS, or PhD in electrical engineering or computer science is required.
