Role Overview
Lead embedded software engineering work across embedded Linux platforms, microservices, messaging systems, and databases.
The listed work model is hybrid, with approximately one week of travel per month potentially required.
Locations and Work Model
- Potential locations include Cleveland, Detroit, Akron, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Columbus, Toledo, and Ann Arbor.
- The work model is hybrid, with approximately one week of travel per month potentially reasonable.
Required Skills and Experience
- Five to ten years of embedded software experience.
- Hands-on expertise with Yocto Linux build systems and ARM-based embedded platforms such as NXP i.MX6 or similar.
- Working knowledge of systemd service management, hardware watchdog integration, and Linux OS optimization.
- Familiarity with ASP.NET Core microservices and lightweight IPC frameworks such as ZeroMQ or D-Bus.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in regulated industries, including medical devices, life sciences, or similar environments, is preferred.
