Role overview
Embedded Firmware Engineer role based in Cardiff, UK, supporting a design center.
The role focuses on product design and sustaining activities for PACS RFID access control products.
The engineer will work in small, versatile Agile teams across products at different life-cycle stages.
Responsibilities
- Implement embedded firmware designs and test solutions primarily in C and C#.
- Create design documentation.
- Debug embedded systems hands-on.
- Support PACS RFID access control products through design and sustaining activities.
- Manage time across multiple products and collaborate with local and overseas departments.
- Use automation and unit-testing tools for firmware development and testing.
- Travel occasionally when required.
Qualifications
- Embedded firmware development and debugging experience.
- Ability to write low- to medium-complexity coded solutions.
- Experience with embedded C, bare-metal, and RTOS applications.
- Engineering degree or equivalent qualification or suitable experience.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and collaborate across departments.
