ELV Engineer

Job Summary

Workplace and Employment

• The position is full-time and based on site in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
• The role requires willingness to work on site in Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate ELV installation activities at the project site.
• Review approved drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and method statements.
• Coordinate ELV works with MEP, civil, architectural, and other project teams.
• Monitor installation progress and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning of ELV systems.
• Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with approved quality standards.
• Prepare and follow up on inspection requests, checklists, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Identify site issues and provide appropriate technical solutions.
• Monitor material deliveries and ensure compliance with approved specifications.
• Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and project documentation.
• Support handover, testing, commissioning, and as-built documentation.

ELV Systems

• Experience in one or more of the following systems is preferred: CCTV, access control, structured cabling, data and voice, public address, background music, SMATV, IPTV, intercom, audio visual, BMS, fire alarm interface, gate barrier, parking management, home automation, or building automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of relevant ELV experience in construction or MEP projects.
• Gulf or GCC experience is mandatory.
• UAE experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ELV systems, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and relevant engineering software.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
