Position Overview:
To troubleshoot, repair and overhaul and/or manufacture avionics equipment as well as various other electronic equipment items.
What You Will Do:
- Manufactures and assembles printed circuit boards and electronic components in accordance with applicable technical documentation and drawings
- Cleans, tests, repairs, troubleshoots and rectifies snags on printed circuit boards and electronic components brought in for repair and overhaul.
- Cleans, tests, repairs, troubleshoots and rectifies snags on electronic equipment containing Radio-Active Material (RAM).
- Operates equipment used to carry out tests and repairs to electronic components.
- Uses appropriate chemicals to clean, bond and/or otherwise process electronic components.
- Assists other Electronics Technicians in performing trade related tasks.
- May be required to provide on-job-training to other members of the Electronics Technician Classification.
- Keeps immediate work area clean and tidy.
- Assumes other trade-related duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Avionics R&O Program Manager.
What You Will Bring:
Candidate must have, as a minimum, a Certificate or Diploma as an Electronics Technician received from an accredited College/Trade school or equivalent from a Canadian Military Trade school.
Candidate must be able to read and interpret blueprints, electronic schematics and Technical Manuals.
