Buyer/Purchaser Intermediate

Undergraduate degree or college diploma preferably in business administration or commerce and 5 to 7 years experience in the aerospace industry or relevant military supply management experience or experience working with Government Procurement

The ideal candidate will have a strong background and comprehensive understanding of supply chain issues and deliverables and fundamental knowledge of purchasing processes and systems.

Preference given to candidates pursuing the program of the Purchasing Management Association of Canada (PMAC).

The candidate must have the ability to multi-task and shift priorities without jeopardizing timelines.

Must have demonstrated experience with ERP systems and Inventory Management Control - JDE knowledge would be an asset

Skill in using computers for spreadsheet analysis and communications;

Experience identifying problems, assessing risks and identifying challenges within the procurement and contracting areas

Respect for accuracy and detail Strong team player with a willingness and capability to lead others.

Incumbents must be able to pass and maintain Public Works Government Services Canada (PWGSC) and Transport Canada security clearances
