Role Overview
Electrical Inspector position for a construction project in Abu Dhabi.
The role focuses on electrical inspections, contractor compliance, quality assurance, reporting, and MEP package delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect contractor works, conduct site surveys, and inspect works in progress.
- Review method statements, inspection requests, technical submittals, and as-built drawings.
- Ensure compliance with contract specifications and approved shop drawings.
- Witness commissioning of major systems and field testing of materials and works.
- Coordinate electrical services with other disciplines.
- Report quality non-conformances and assist with closeout.
- Monitor contractor progress and site activities.
- Prepare weekly and monthly discipline reports and maintain tracking schedules.
- Deliver MEP package obligations and assist the Resident Engineer with project and contract obligations.
- Maintain discipline documentation under the Project Quality Plan and report site safety violations to HSE personnel.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in construction supervision of building services.
- Experience may include private, government, residential, commercial, industrial, or retail projects.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, drawing control, revisions, and issue protocols.
- Understanding of British, American, and international design standards.
- Knowledge of Revit, electrical design software, Windows, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to deliver an MEP package independently, manage contractors, and identify testing and commissioning requirements.
- Good knowledge of document control procedures and QHSE principles and practices.
