The employer is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer – Buildings for a project in KIZAD, Abu Dhabi.
The role supports delivery of building construction works in line with approved designs, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, schedule, and budget.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related program is required.
- The role requires at least 12 total years of engineering experience, including at least 6 years in the UAE.
- Candidates should have comprehensive civil supervision experience on significant building projects, mainly warehouses and industrial buildings.
- A thorough understanding of engineering, civil construction, and industry practices is required.
- Familiarity with MS Office, Outlook, AutoCAD, and related software is required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Report to the Resident Engineer and contribute to supervision of building construction projects.
- Manage assigned project phases or areas and act as a substitute for the Resident Engineer when required.
- Coordinate with engineers, inspectors, surveyors, contractors, subcontractors, service authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Review shop drawings, design proposals, method statements, technical reports, material submissions, and utility-related work.
- Maintain daily diaries, records, reports, progress tracking, and accurate as-built drawing information.
- Support scheduling, resource allocation, quality assessment, testing, acceptance sampling, and specification compliance.
- Oversee safety objectives and implementation of site safety protocols.
- Prepare or support weekly and monthly progress reports and issue site directions as assigned.
