Role Description
The Electrical Engineer designs, tests, commissions, maintains, and improves electrical systems, equipment, and installations.
The role works with project teams, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and clients.
Electrical works must meet technical specifications, safety standards, quality requirements, budgets, and schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and review electrical systems, layouts, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Prepare electrical calculations, schematics, and engineering documentation.
- Coordinate electrical works with civil, mechanical, MEP, and other engineering teams.
- Inspect electrical installations and verify compliance with approved designs.
- Conduct testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis.
- Work with power distribution, lighting, cabling, switchgear, transformers, generators, and control systems.
- Identify technical issues, risks, defects, and electrical system improvements.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients on technical matters.
- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Monitor project progress, materials, resources, schedules, and technical requirements.
- Prepare inspection reports, test records, technical reports, and project documentation.
