Role Description
The Assistant Professor or Professor teaches, conducts academic research, develops curriculum, supervises students, and contributes to institutional academic development.
The role supports high-quality instruction, student success, academic activities, research performance, and institutional goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures, tutorials, seminars, workshops, and practical sessions in the assigned discipline.
- Develop course materials, syllabi, lesson plans, presentations, and learning resources.
- Design and evaluate examinations, assignments, projects, presentations, and other assessments.
- Advise, mentor, guide, and support students, including supervising research students where applicable.
- Conduct original research, prepare journal papers, attend conferences, and participate in research projects and grants.
- Contribute to curriculum development, program reviews, academic quality improvement, and accreditation.
- Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, examinations, and institutional activities.
- Maintain academic records and collaborate with faculty, researchers, industry professionals, and institutions.
Qualifications
- A master's or PhD degree in the relevant academic discipline is required depending on the position and institutional requirements.
