About the Role
Parsons seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to review electrical design packages for large-scale infrastructure projects in Riyadh. The role involves validating calculations, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with international standards.

Responsibilities
- Review electrical design packages across all project stages (concept, schematic, detailed, IFC, and as built) for stations, tunnels, viaducts, depots, and ancillary buildings.
- Review LV power distribution systems, including SLDs, switchboards, MCCs, ATS, distribution boards, load schedules, and protection coordination.
- Validate electrical calculations and studies such as load flow, cable sizing, short circuit analysis, voltage drop, and protective device coordination using approved software tools.
- Assess earthing, bonding, and lightning protection systems, ensuring compliance with applicable international standards and project requirements.
- Review lighting and emergency lighting designs, illumination calculations, and performance reports to ensure compliance with safety and operational requirements.
- Verify life safety and MEP electrical interfaces, including smoke control, tunnel ventilation, fire pumps, fire alarm systems, and essential power transfer arrangements.
- Review design deliverables including drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, datasheets, method statements, and RFIs, ensuring document control and compliance.
- Support testing and commissioning activities through review of FAT, SAT, and ISAT documentation and participation in critical system testing.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including architecture, structural, mechanical, fire engineering, and rail systems disciplines to resolve design interfaces and clashes.
- Prepare technical review reports, comment registers, presentations, and recommendations in support of project delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the design, design review, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems
- Strong knowledge of international electrical standards, including NEC, IEC, IEEE, and NFPA, as well as local authority requirements
- Experience working on large civil, infrastructure, industrial, or transportation projects
- Detailed understanding of electrical materials, equipment selection, and engineering design principles
- Excellent analytical, coordination, and technical review skills
- Experience in railway or metro projects is an advantage (desired)
- Previous GCC project experience (desired)
- Proficiency in electrical engineering software such as ETAP, DIALux, AGI32, or equivalent tools (desired)
- Experience in BIM based design coordination and multidisciplinary project environments (desired)
