Overview

AtkinsRéalis is participating in the Alto high-speed rail project linking Québec City to Toronto as part of the Cadence consortium.

The company is seeking a Building Electrical Engineer to support future high-speed rail opportunities in Canada.

The posting is intended to express interest in future opportunities within AtkinsRéalis.

Your Role

  • Design and support building electrical systems, including power distribution, emergency and standby power, lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage systems.
  • Apply energy efficiency and sustainability standards within project teams and technical environments.
  • Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Provide technical support to project managers and design teams.
  • Perform design calculations and construction cost estimates.
  • Coordinate site follow-up, monitor construction activities, and resolve technical issues.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary electrical design work to meet client requirements, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate technical, contractual, and financial project activities with clients and project directors.
  • Assess risks and propose strategies to support project success.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration with Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO).
  • At least five years of relevant building electrical engineering experience in a consulting engineering firm.
  • Relevant project coordination experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Revit.

Compensation

  • Expected compensation is $90,000 to $130,000 annually, with offers based on skills, experience, potential impact, and market factors.
