Overview

Join AtkinsRéalis's Vancouver Engineering Services team and contribute to local, national, and international multidisciplinary projects.

Projects span defense, transportation, municipal, nuclear, healthcare, industrial, and institutional sectors across Canada and the United States.

The role focuses on electrical engineering for high-performance buildings and energy-efficient building systems.

Your role

  • Deliver electrical system designs and calculations from preliminary design through the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare schematic designs, design development documents, construction drawings, and specifications.
  • Design distribution, lighting, power, grounding, fire alarm, communications, security, and control or signal systems.
  • Review client requirements and provide design options and recommendations.
  • Assist with project deliverables, financial targets, schedules, peer reviews, and quality assurance.
  • Apply codes and standards, coordinate utility services, review shop drawings, and resolve onsite contractor issues.
  • Provide technical direction to junior designers and CAD operators.

About you

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering and registration as a Professional Engineer with EGBC.
  • 4–10 years of electrical engineering consulting experience.
  • Previous electrical design experience in relevant defense, transportation, municipal, nuclear, healthcare, industrial, or institutional projects.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit; PLC programming is an asset.
  • Knowledge and application of the Canadian Electrical Code.
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
