Electrical Design Engineer

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop complete AC/DC yacht power systems, including generation, distribution, and lighting.
• Apply understanding of PLC operation and logic.
• Design and verify electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using AutoCAD, EPLAN, and SolidWorks Electrical.
• Perform load, voltage drop, and short-circuit calculations for 12 V, 24 V, 48 V, and 700 V systems.
• Select protection, control, and distribution components such as breakers, relays, contactors, sensors, and connectors.
• Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and validation during production and sea trials.
• Ensure compliance with ISO, IEC, DNV, RINA, CE, and ABYC marine electrical standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum four years of electrical design experience.
• Marine, automotive, or industrial automation experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of AC/DC systems, power management, and control logic.
• EPLAN software knowledge is mandatory.
• Skills in AutoCAD, EPLAN, and SolidWorks Electrical.
• Excellent analytical and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment.
