Role Overview
The EHS & Quality Specialist will support the Fuel Manufacturing Group with environmental, health and safety, and quality assurance expertise.
The position reports to the Quality Manager for Arnprior and supports site EHS requirements and quality needs.
The role is based at the Arnprior manufacturing site and may interact with external customers.
Environmental, Health and Safety
- Administer the site Environmental and Health and Safety Management System.
- Perform job safety risk assessments using workstation procedures and employee interviews.
- Manage EHS training programs and coordinate the Workplace Health and Safety Committee.
- Respond to EHS concerns and participate in cross-functional problem-solving teams.
- Perform hazard identification and workplace safety inspections.
- Manage inspection compliance and the EHS corrective action system.
- Conduct incident investigations.
- Implement environmental programs for air, water, and waste compliance.
- Audit EHS conformity with regulatory and customer requirements.
Quality Assurance
- Support the quality management system, including vendor management, non-conformance, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
