Education and Training Program Manager

• Works under general supervision with broadly defined work objectives.
• Makes decisions of some complexity regarding work design, projects, etc. which regularly impact the next organizational layer and may impact an organizational function.
• Work projects and products are subject to management review for content, quality, and appropriateness.
• Incumbent may have some formal supervisory responsibility or provide regular work direction and/or technical oversight to others.

The incumbent will work at a desk in an office environment either in the corporate office or in an approved remote setting.

Evening/weekend work and travel will be required.

There are minimal requirements to lift or move equipment.

• Bachelor’s Degree, Certification or equivalent in Education/Training, Instructional Design or in a related field;
• Minimum two years’ experience with training various audiences (both virtually and in-person);
• Minimum one year of experience working in an education or assessment-related organization preferred;
• Strong background in instructional design and adult learning theory.

• Demonstrated skill in writing concise, logical, and grammatically correct communications and training documents;
• Strong facilitation skills with the ability to produce effective training for a variety of situations and modes of delivery;
• Able to leverage data to create meaningful insight;
• Ability to inspire and motivate staff and volunteers;
• Ability to maintain positive attitude under stressful conditions;
• Demonstrated skill with a variety of instructional design tools (Articulate Storyline/360, , other e-learning tools);
• Knowledge of Agile Methodologies involving stakeholders and various project management tools, including Asana desired;
• Knowledge of Learning Management Systems;
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook);
• Leadership skills – ability to lead others by influence and example;
• Flexibility – being comfortable with ambiguity and change;
• Collaborative attitude – ability to work on a team and contribute to its success;
• Organizational skills – ability to work on multiple projects and tasks;
• Attention to detail – ability to focus on the important parts of a project;
• Interpersonal skills – ability to interact effectively, efficiently, and professionally with individuals at all levels of the organization;
• Knowledge of strategies for assessing customer experience.
