About the opportunity
The End-to-End Solution Architect owns the technical solution view across Packet Core, telco cloud, and adjacent Core Network domains.
The role translates customer business and technology needs into secure, scalable, commercially viable, and deliverable end-to-end solutions.
The architect operates across customer strategy, technology, commercial development, and delivery.
Customer-facing solution ownership
- Engage customer stakeholders to understand business drivers, network strategy, pain points, and transformation priorities.
- Lead technical workshops, architecture reviews, and solution discussions, communicating choices, dependencies, risks, and trade-offs.
- Act as the senior technical point of contact throughout presales and solution shaping.
End-to-end architecture
- Define Core Network solution concepts, high- and low-level designs, interfaces, deployment models, data flows, and non-functional requirements.
- Evaluate options that balance customer value, technical feasibility, performance, resilience, security, operational simplicity, and cost.
- Collaborate with architects, Product Management, R&D, Delivery, Operations, and partners.
Packet Core and cloud-native design
- Shape solutions across 4G EPC, 5G Core, dual-mode 5G Core, Packet Core, interworking, mobility, policy, subscriber data, signaling, and user-plane functions.
- Design cloud-native solutions using microservices, containers, Kubernetes, CNFs/VNFs, CaaS, automation, orchestration, and lifecycle management.
- Address infrastructure, applications, security, observability, resilience, scaling, upgrades, rollback, and operational readiness.
Commercial proposals
- Work with the Core 3 and sales teams to translate customer needs into technically robust and commercially viable solutions and proposals.
- Develop scope, technical value propositions, differentiators, assumptions, risks, acceptance criteria, and supporting technical documentation.
- Align proposed solutions with Ericsson portfolio capabilities, delivery models, commercial commitments, and customer expectations.
Delivery and lifecycle
- Support transition from presales through design, integration, deployment, acceptance, and operations.
- Manage architectural risks and keep technical decisions aligned with customer requirements.
- Support upgrades, migrations, modernization, capacity growth, and automation while sharing lessons with R&D and portfolio teams.
Required qualifications
- University degree in engineering, information technology, telecommunications, computer science, or equivalent theoretical background gained through experience.
- Significant experience in telecommunications, network architecture, systems integration, or related technical leadership.
- Experience as a Solution Architect or technical lead for complex customer solutions.
- Experience across at least three relevant Core Network domains, including the ability to connect Packet Core and Cloud with adjacent domains.
- Professional fluency in English.
Technical skills
- Strong knowledge of 4G EPC, 5G Core, dual-mode deployments, 3GPP architecture, service-based architecture, network functions, interfaces, and interworking.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native telecom architecture, including microservices, containers, Kubernetes, CNFs/VNFs, CaaS, automation, CI/CD, lifecycle management, and observability.
- Experience with end-to-end architecture, high- and low-level designs, integration models, migration approaches, and operational concepts.

- Strategic thinking, critical thinking, structured problem solving, decision-making under uncertainty, and delivery accountability.
