Job Description
We are seeking an experienced
Dredge Operator
for shore-based dredging operations in Qatar.
Please note, this is a
shore-based position and not an offshore or seafarer role
.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in operating and maintaining heavy dredging equipment in land/port-based marine projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate cutter suction dredgers (up to 2000 HP) safely and efficiently
- Carry out dredging operations using clamshell dredgers, rock breakers, and hydraulic compactors
- Perform routine inspection and basic maintenance of dredging equipment
- Ensure safe excavation, removal, and disposal of materials as per project requirements
- Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors to meet production targets
- Maintain daily operational logs and report equipment issues
- Follow strict safety standards and company procedures
