Purpose of the Job
- The Musical Theatre Teacher (Drama) will provide inspiring, creative, and dynamic classes, instilling a love of performance and developing students' skills and technique.
Key Accountabilities
- To be confident and experienced in working with students on script work, stage direction, stagecraft/movement, and performance.
- To actively research and develop new teaching ideas for Musical Theatre.
- To explore new repertoire and performances suitable for students.
- To develop and deliver innovative projects for solo and group performances.
- To adhere to the standards within the department.
- To teach as appropriate and by agreement with the Principals.
- To assist with annual Musical Theatre shows.
- To undertake administrative duties regarding parent teacher communication and examinations.
Personal Qualities/Attributes
- Charismatic, enthusiastic, hardworking, and imaginative with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage a variety of different age groups effectively.
- Ability to relate effectively to students of all ages and backgrounds.
- Driven to achieve excellence for their students.
Experience
- Minimum 2+ years of teaching experience.
- Professional performing background preferred but not essential.
- Experience in providing private singing lessons tailored for LAMDA Musical Theatre exams.

- Salary commensurate with experience.
