- Plan and deliver outstanding DP Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation lessons at SL and/or HL
- Develop students' mathematical thinking, modelling skills, statistical literacy, and use of technology
- Manage the Internal Assessment (Mathematical Exploration) process
- Prepare students effectively for IB external examinations
- Differentiate effectively to meet the needs of all learners
- Teach MYP Mathematics where timetabled
- Contribute to the Mathematics department and wider life of EGA
Requirements
- Recognised teaching qualification
- Degree in Mathematics or closely related discipline
- Proven experience teaching IB DP Mathematics, ideally Applications and Interpretation
- Knowledge of IB DP assessment and Internal Assessment processes
- Ability to use GDC and mathematical software effectively
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and differentiation skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
- Ability to meet visa requirements for working in Qatar

Job Overview
- Etqan Global Academy (EGA) in Doha, Qatar is an IB World School offering DP and IBCP.
- Seeking an enthusiastic and experienced DP Mathematics Teacher to deliver IB Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation at SL and/or HL.
The Role
- Planning and delivering outstanding DP Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation lessons at SL and/or HL.
- Developing students' mathematical thinking, modelling skills, statistical literacy, and effective use of technology including GDC and mathematical software.
- Managing the Internal Assessment (Mathematical Exploration) process.
- Preparing students effectively for IB external examinations through rigorous, data informed teaching.
- Differentiating effectively to meet the needs of all learners including students with additional needs or EAL.
- Teaching MYP Mathematics where timetabled.
- Contributing to the Mathematics department and the wider life of EGA.
The Successful Candidate Will Possess
- A recognised teaching qualification and a degree in Mathematics or a closely related discipline.
- Proven experience teaching IB DP Mathematics, ideally Applications and Interpretation (AI).
- Knowledge of IB DP assessment, Internal Assessment processes, and examination preparation.
- Ability to use GDC, mathematical software, and technology effectively to support learning.
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and differentiation skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
- IB DP Mathematics workshop training desirable; international school experience desirable.
- Ability to meet visa requirements for working in Qatar.
