Overview

  • We are looking for an experienced Document Controller with MEP construction experience to manage project documentation, maintain accurate records, and ensure proper document control procedures are followed.
  • The ideal candidate should have knowledge of MEP project documentation, confidentiality handling, and basic administrative support including petty cash management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and control all incoming and outgoing MEP project documents, drawings, submittals, approvals, and correspondence.
  • Maintain proper filing systems (soft and hard copies) for project records and ensure documents are easily retrievable.
  • Handle MEP related documents including shop drawings, material submittals, inspection requests, method statements, and technical submissions.
  • Ensure document revision control and maintain updated records of all project documents.
  • Coordinate with project teams, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors for document submissions and approvals.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company records, employee documents, contracts, and project related information.
  • Prepare document reports, trackers, and status updates as required.
  • Support administrative activities including maintaining records, reports, and office documentation.
  • Manage petty cash transactions, maintain proper records, collect receipts, and prepare petty cash reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and document control standards.

Requirements

  • Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Document Controller in MEP contracting or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP project documentation and document control processes.
  • Familiarity with document management systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive documents professionally.
  • Basic knowledge of petty cash handling and administrative coordination.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in MEP contracting / construction industry (UAE experience preferred).
