Role Overview
Barbuda Electromechanical Works LLC is seeking an experienced Document Controller with strong MEP experience on UAE high-rise building projects.
The role manages, controls, and maintains project documents, drawings, correspondence, and technical submissions.
Document Control Responsibilities
- Manage incoming and outgoing project documents, drawings, and correspondence.
- Register, distribute, and track shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical submissions.
- Maintain logs for RFIs, MIRs, WIRs, NCRs, site instructions, inspection requests, and consultant comments.
- Maintain document registers, submission statuses, approval statuses, revisions, and archives.
- Manage documents through client or consultant document-management systems.
- Distribute approved documents and current drawing revisions and remove superseded versions from active use.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, QA/QC, procurement teams, subcontractors, and consultants.
- Follow up on pending submissions, approvals, and overdue responses.
- Prepare transmittals, document-status reports, meeting records, and project documentation.
- Support audits and compile as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, testing records, and handover dossiers.
