- Manage and oversee day to day document control activities in line with established procedures and client requirements
- Maintain and ensure proper use of the existing document control system (EDMS)
- Control the full lifecycle of engineering and construction documentation, including receipt, tracking, distribution, filing, and archiving
- Ensure all documents comply with company standards and client specifications
- Coordinate with project teams, consultants, contractors, and client representatives on document submissions, reviews, and approvals
- Maintain accurate document registers, transmittals, and logs for all incoming and outgoing documentation
- Monitor document workflows to ensure timely processing and turnaround
- Conduct regular checks and audits to ensure adherence to document control procedures
- Lead and supervise document control staff, providing guidance and support as required
- Prepare regular reports on document status, progress, and key metrics for management and client review
- Support project teams during audits and project close out activities
Requirements
- 12 years work experience
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
- Proven experience in establishing, implementing, and managing a document control system within a department
- Experience in document control within an engineering consultancy environment, specifically supporting civil construction projects
- Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory document control role
- Strong working knowledge of document control systems (e.g., Aconex, SharePoint, or similar EDMS platforms)

Qualifications
- 12 years work experience partnered with a Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in establishing, implementing, and managing a document control system within a department, including developing processes, workflows, and governance standards.
- Must have experience in document control within an engineering consultancy environment, specifically supporting civil construction projects. (Experience on large scale infrastructure projects is highly preferred).
- Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory document control role.
- Strong working knowledge of document control systems (e.g., Aconex, SharePoint, or similar EDMS platforms).
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in document management.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage large volumes of documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
