Position details

The position is Diving Representative for the Abu Dhabi INY BU 5A office or department.

The role reports to the Team Leader, Project Manager, or ADNOC Offshore and works with internal teams, clients, and project management consultants.

Qualifications and experience

  • The role requires an IMCA Supervisor Ticket and a minimum of 10 years as a diving supervisor on offshore projects.
  • At least one HSE certification such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or IOSH is required.
  • A minimum three-year university diploma is required.
  • Site Safety Induction and ADNOC Offshore training are required.
  • The candidate must have 10 years of related offshore inspections, maintenance, and construction supervision experience after obtaining the IMCA ticket.
  • Competence in diving equipment inspection and audits is required.
  • A UAE driving license is not required.

Diving operations

  • Review diving CVs and evaluate the diving team against project and ADNOC or IMCA requirements.
  • Inspect the diving spread for compliance with ADNOC and IMCA standards.
  • Ensure safe surface locations, permit-to-work compliance, qualified personnel, and diver fitness before each dive.
  • Ensure diving equipment is suitable, inspected before each dive, and in good working order.
  • Ensure current operating manuals, decompression tables, treatment schedules, and regulatory publications are available at the dive location.

Reporting and safety

  • Maintain and submit ADNOC reports for diving operations and equipment maintenance, testing, or repair.
  • Submit required records and reports to the appropriate company offices.
  • Follow up emergency and contingency procedures and detailed diving team briefings.
  • Critique completed dives and instruct contractors on improvements to procedures and routines.
  • Report accidents and incidents according to ADNOC HSE standards.
  • Conduct job hazard reviews and toolbox meetings before diving activities.

  • The work is associated with offshore operations in the UAE.
