- Critically interpret scientific data and determine impact on scientific and medical understanding of assigned portfolio
- Share country/regional insights with global teams to align global medical strategies with local needs
- Provide fair and balanced medical information and education to healthcare professionals and payers
- Foster patient access to Vertex medications by supporting commercial organization in reimbursement dossiers
- Perform/oversee medical/scientific training for field medical teams, commercial, and other internal stakeholders
- Contribute to local Brand Team representing therapy area scientific and medical expertise
- Ensure compliance with company policies, medical affairs SOPs, GCP and ICH
- Assess local promotional materials for scientific accuracy and fair balance
Requirements
- Scientific background (e.g., Physician, PhD or PharmD)
- Minimum 10 years of medical affairs experience in multinational pharmaceutical in KSA market
- Strong understanding of Nephrology (Kidney disease)
- Experience in writing or reviewing scientific communications
- Good understanding of the pharmaceutical industry International setting
- Ability to develop relationships in a highly matrixed environment
- Experience in designing, planning medical strategies and executing medical education and communication activities
- Strong understanding of statistical methods
- Leadership and significant people manager experience

Job Description
- The Medical Affairs Director provides medical and scientific leadership in glomerular diseases therapy area (IgAN) within GCC.
- Works closely with cross functional group to ensure scientific and medical strategies are aligned with corporate and stakeholder needs.
- Ensures flawless execution of country medical plans with primary focus on KSA.
Key Responsibilities
- Critically interprets scientific data and determines potential impact of new research on scientific and medical understanding of assigned portfolio.

- Provides fair and balanced medical information and education to healthcare professionals and payers.

Key Requirements

Flex Designation
- Hybrid Eligible or On Site Eligible.
- Hybrid: work remotely up to two days per week; or On Site: work five days per week on site with ad hoc flexibility.
