Infrastructure is foundational to how Modern Niagara operates. The Director, IT Infrastructure ensures that the networks, cloud platforms, devices, identity services, collaboration tools, and underlying technology environments used across the organization are secure, reliable, and available when people need them.
This role is also an opportunity to build and mature the infrastructure function. The Director, IT Infrastructure will establish standards, clarify ownership across overlapping technology domains, strengthen disaster recovery capabilities, and lead the modernization of infrastructure and cloud platforms that support the organization’s long-term technology strategy.
Ensure reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure across network, server, cloud, endpoint, identity, and Microsoft platforms.
Establish and mature infrastructure standards, configuration baselines, architecture governance, and change management practices.
Lead infrastructure modernization, cloud migration, and data platform enablement initiatives across the organization.
Strengthen business resilience through effective backup, disaster recovery, and infrastructure risk management.
Build and develop a capable infrastructure team with clear ownership and accountability across technology domains.
Partner closely with Cybersecurity, Corporate Systems, Data, and other technology and business teams to deliver secure and effective technology solutions.
Own enterprise network and connectivity infrastructure, including routing, switching, firewalls, wireless, and ISP/circuit relationships.
Own the Hyper-V virtualization environment and physical and virtual server administration.

Own Microsoft Intune policy administration, Autopilot deployment, OS imaging and deployment standards, and Autopatch rings.
Diagnose and resolve policy conflicts across different endpoint policy delivery mechanisms.
Own the Azure infrastructure supporting the organization’s data strategy, including Microsoft Fabric and OneLake architecture.
Oversee workspace and capacity administration and the infrastructure supporting Data Factory pipelines and integration runtimes.
Ensure appropriate security, identity, and governance controls are in place across the data platform, including RBAC, Key Vault, and Microsoft Purview cataloging and lineage.
Partner with the data team to ensure the underlying platform is secure, reliable, scalable, and cost-governed.
Provide platform and infrastructure ownership rather than direct ownership of data engineering, pipeline development, or data modelling.
Own the Veeam backup platform and associated infrastructure.
Lead the development and implementation of a technical Disaster Recovery Plan aligned with the corporate Business Continuity Plan.
Establish and maintain defined Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs).
Identify and address infrastructure risks and single points of failure.
Partner with Cybersecurity on backup security requirements, Active Directory hardening, and incident response.
Directly manage infrastructure team members and provide clear direction, priorities, and accountability.
Define clear ownership boundaries across overlapping infrastructure and technology domains.
Build and develop the infrastructure team as organizational and technology scope grows.
Partner with the Director, Cybersecurity on shared infrastructure and security priorities.
Collaborate with Corporate Systems, Data, business stakeholders, vendors, and other technology teams to deliver effective infrastructure solutions.
Provide hands-on technical leadership and participate directly in troubleshooting, architecture, and implementation when required.
Experience working in a multi-site or multi-region organization.
Experience in construction, engineering, or another project-based industry.
Relevant Microsoft certifications, such as Azure Administrator Associate, Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or equivalent.
Experience leading large-scale infrastructure modernization, cloud migration, or data migration programs.
